marriage proposal no. 2

Posted in: General

It was early Monday evening.
It was on the escalators at Melbourne Central station.
I was ascending.
He was descending.
I had a map of RMIT and an air of distraction.
He had a McDonalds takeaway bag of chips.
I looked up to get my bearings.
He leaned across and said, “Will you marry me?”
I say, “What?”
He waves and disappears into the depths of the underground loop.
Ah, romance!

Look, it’s been said before and it’ll be said again … but you really are a magnet for the oddballs, aren’t you. (Although a proposal of marriage is always nice, and would have been nicer if accompanied by a few of his chips 🙂

    Marita,

Let it go girl. If he is eating McDonalds before marriage, it is likely he will turn into a tub of lard!
