A new acquaintance has inducted me into the weird world of Swedish cooking and beverages. (After telling me of an hilarious excursion to Ikea with his grandparentals in order to eat dinner at the cafeteria – I had to know more!) I’m especially looking forward to trying some kluegg, a festive cola brew only available during the Christmas season. Apparently it even has little Santas emblazoned across the cans. Get in before stocks run out.
I wonder how an icy cold Kluegg goes down on a hot day?
November 27th, 2004 at 3:13 pmYes! We bought some last week at Ikea – it’s……quite nice really. I really miss European soft drinks; they’re less tooth achingly sweet than the ones here, and this Kluegg stuff is great. It tastes very yeasty though, and smells like beer. It’s an indescribable taste, we have nothing to compare it to.
December 13th, 2004 at 3:35 pmAlso you must buy the double chocolate oatmeal cookies they sell. Only that type – they’re two crisp, oaty cookies, sandwiched with dark chocolate. People all over the world go into raptures about them.
