you do the maths, I can’t

Posted in: General

It costs $71 extra for me to take out travel insurance for the forthcoming trip to Hungary, Austria and Italy because I don’t have a spleen.
What’s that extra $1 for?
Very curious.

As you know, my Mum was born without a spleen. I have to have an ultrasound to see if I too was born without a spleen. This information in regard to travel insurance will be filed away in a recess of my brain for a future time when either my mother or I travel overseas!

    Pah. Spleens. Who needs ’em?

I wonder if I could get a discount because only one of my eyes works?

You’d think that having one less organ to insure would result in a reduced premium.

They always charge me extra because I’m asthmatic, so I feel your (financial) pain.
