living next to a tram line

I’m sure there are many more architecturally accurate ways to describe our problem.
But this pithy attempt does seem to sum it up succinctly – and poetically.
(OK, maybe that’s an overstatement. It rhymes.)

Rumble.*
Crumble.**
Grumble.***

* That’s the tram.
** That’s the plaster.
*** That’s the disgruntled home owners/rate payers/public transport users.

    Gosh, living next to tram line. The only thing better would be living next to a railway. Perhaps with a nice signalbox at the bottom of the garden with lovely signals everywhere. It would have to be a busy railway line, of course, so you could see lots of trains, watch the signals, and listen to the bell codes…
